All it takes is a little time to work out the settings. These things reach much higher clocks, when you have them sorted.

Well that voltage bumps up when it runs the test, to 1.3vcore or so. But I have C1E state enabled in BIOS, and it cools right off after the test. I had speedstep enabled too, but I found that turning it on and off had no effect, presumably because of the OC.

nekro: sometimes backing off voltages helps too... mine was unstable when I had too much VTT... I think I had it up to +350mhz. When I just set to auto it worked better, and ran cooler, FWIW.

meth, do you just run that program all the time? or do you try to play a game?

my system is stable with all the torture test, but not in games.

there are no crashes, just total system freeze

and pretty much every game, crysis, gta4. mirror edge, grid, pretty much everything i try

I have been playing Burnout, W@W, cod4, warhead, and Empire:TW lately at those settings. What BIOS do you have?

I had to start from scratch a few times with this chip, it's way harder than 775's. And I think the chips are more varied from chip to chip, so just copying and pasting other people's templates doesn't seem to work.

It's odd that you have crashes in games but not in stress testing, though.

Must be his videocard overheating or something on it isn't right.

Are you guys using stock cooling? How efficient is stock cooling for these cpu's?
