Due to the way Sterescopic Shutter technology works. The "need" for high level AA is greatly diminished due the extra depth.

That was one area that I would investigate when I buy GeForce 3d Vision and very curious about actually.

Like everything else, it varies, but when I was floating around among the fireballs on the Morpheus level my only thought was "Wow. I have never done anything in computer gaming that comes close to this.".

And that's saying something- I always have super high end equipment, and am testing out the latest and greatest stuff for nV.

When it works well, the 3d transforms computer gaming into something much more immersive than I've ever seen. I used to game on a 30" monitor at 25X16 a foot away from my face. I've gamed on a 50" HD TV. Doesn't matter- I'd rather peer into this 22" 16X10 monitor than any display I have in my house.

I've decided to rid the IZ3D monitor. I just don't like the 2D quality, the ghosting, and the amount of problems and conflicts it has with 64-bit Vista.

I really wanted to wait for a 1920x1200 monitor but I had such a bad taste with IZ3D that I need something sweeter

We couldn't even log off/switch users anymore since setting up the monitor, when logging off or switching user the monitor blanks completely out, requiring a manual reboot.

The remote desktop work around was too cumbersome, especially since I use it on a daily basis.

I also didn't like the fact that since Windows recognizes the front and back panels as individual side by side screens, I often had windows and apps open up the in front panel, which is invisible without the glasses. So I have to put on my glasses so I can see them, and drag them across onto the normal screen. This gets repetitive and cumbersome really really quick. Some applications
open up directly in the "middle" of the dual screen extended desktop, which is on the right edge of the visible screen. Nice! Setting the 2nd panel in clone mode fixes that but somehow breaks the driver, as it doesn't recognize the monitor anymore (like the first time I set it up).

3D Vision doesn't have any crazy stuff like that going on, and I am using it with Vista 64.

Yep, that kind of issues (and the lack of FullHD) are another reason why I haven't got the iz3d monitor. Let's wait how the 2.0 driver (and the improved glasses) work

If somebody can find a way of syncing 3D Vision with a CRT it'll work fine on my monitors don't you worry.
NVidia wont do it as its not worth it for them.

3D Movies will be cool, Wasn't possible before because of the 30hz flicker.

Old movies like SW will be given the 3D treatment, It's gonna be hoooooge.

Every home will have or want one, Not just the computer geeks like it is now....

Then 7 years down the line everyone's retinas will fall out.

It seems like it'd take an insane amount of work to go back and turn a 2D movie into a 3D one.

Unless it was filmed with stereoscopic cameras to begin with and the footage is just hidden away somewhere, they'd have to recreate every scene in CG just to get a second angle.

I don't think so.

Take Star Wars for instance, Mostly CGI anyway.

Done shoddily everything could look like cardboard cutouts but you don't have to wrap every tiny detail in high poly's to give an effective 3D effect.

Software would do most of the work.

And robots will take our jerbs.

Seems as though you CAN use a converter with 3D Vision on CRT's ,And works on 100hz.

iz3d is the same system as this thing ,Doesn't cost £2500 though eh...

All the 3D IMAX movies could have a 3D Vision version made with zero effort.

Including Star Wars it seems.

Hi there!
Was wondering if you feel the same now about the 22 monitor size, are you really happy and dont for a sec think about say a 24 or 26 monitor?

I know I know we have allready been throu that hehe but as im having a 24 now I feel a little scared to go 22. I use to have a 20 ws mon before my G2400WD but anyway the size defference between a 22 and a 24 can be that drastic right ?

And what I have read ppl says that gaming on the Samsung in 3D does give you a feeling that it's much bigger than a regular 22, so heres hoping I would feel the same way. I cant stop reading and thinking about going 3D, it must be to good to be true
