Default xenomai ubuntu 7.10

I am running ubuntu 7.10, kernel -ipipe, using xenomai for real-time threading control of a robotic arm.
Before installing the drivers from the nvidia website, robot communication was optimal. After installing the drivers, I think there may be too many lags, which is causing the robot to shutdown - which is the safety mechanism to prevent damaging humans in the lab.

We would like to display visual feedback in realtime with the movement of our robot.
We have a GeForce 8 series.
We have come across this site:
http://www.rtai.dk/cgi-bin/gratiswiki.pl?Latency_Killer
but are at a loss for how to use it, or whether or not our NVIDIA graphics card can be toned down -or prevented from sending unwanted irqs during robot threading.

How can we stop our NVIDIA graphics card from interfering with real-time threading programs? some graphics cards bypass the Adeos nanokernel and disable CPU IRQs to temporarily to increase graphics performance. If this is the case, how do we turn this off?

thanks in advance,

thanks
