Unhappy [BUG REPORT] Software suspend no longer works with kernel 2.6.29 + NV180.41 + 8800GT

With 2.6.28 everything worked quite fine.

With 2.6.29 the computer suspends, but cannot return to life when I wake it up - all I get is a black console screen and keyboard is not working (even SysRq).

and I'm very scared by these messages (repeated six times):

Such messages didn't occur in kernel 2.6.28.

My kernel configuration is attached (I'm using vanilla kernel). I will submit a kernel bug report shortly.

Reading your log, it seems there is a problem with your TV tuner card.
Have you tried booting and suspending this kernel without nvidia driver installed.
(no nvidia kernel driver and no nvidia X-driver.
You can use vesa or nv as xdriver to get X started)

you can also try:
boot 2.6.28
uninstall nvidia driver
(run the installer as root with --uninstall)
reboot in 2.6.29
try suspending /resuming
If this works fine:
install nvidia driver
try suspending / resuming

I can just `init 3; rmmod nvidia; pm-suspend;` - there's no need to mess up with drivers (de)installation. Anyway I'll report the results later.

As for conflict with TV tuner 1) There's just a conflict with i2c subsytem 2) With the previous kernel no such problem existed.

The problem persists even without NVIDIA drivers, so it's definitely a kernel bug.

False alarm.
