Hi folks,
I bought a Mini-displayport to VGA converter and connected my MacBook Pro 5,1 with the 1920x1080p 24inch ViewSonic LCD. I took a picture of the mess on the screen and attached URL here: http://people.ubuntu.com/~roc/viewso...ty_mpb_5_1.jpg There is no problem in Mac OS X on the same hardware setting. and if I use Mini-displayport to DVI connection, in Ubuntu Linux there is no such issue at all. My Linux is Jaunty 9.04 beta Ubuntu and I installed the driver from Ubuntu package which is 180.44 driver. Please help me to fix it, since I am a kernel developer in Ubuntu, we can fix it together. Thanks -Bryan |
