Abit nforce 650i board. Not flash, but it's been a good cheap backbone.

Shouldn't be. I'm using Gainward Golden Samples myself and they seem great so far. Have a longer warranty than what EVGA do in Australia (2 years vs 1 year), though they are very loud when the fan hits 60% and above. Thankfully they rarely get that hot. :
: They use a twin fan cooler, so with SLI that's 4 of the buggers! |

I will. It's in the Stacker right now. I have it inverted so they up top and hidden under the X-Fi, so I might have to pull them out. Too much Crysis for that now. :
:I would have liked perhaps an EVGA or XFX card, but they are at least 100 more expensive. : : Not worth the premium when there is no lifetime warranties involved. Still my first 3D card was a Gainward VooDoo. : : They were the big guys then, along with Orchid and Diamond. |

Just got my 2nd GTX 280 and finally joined the SLI club. Nice to see the performance boosts, but then I get weird artifacts and bugginess when I try to run SLI with certain games along with 3D Vision (Empire - Total War for one), which is disheartening because that is why I upgraded to SLI in the first place (a single GTX 280 can still play most games very well normally at 1680x1050 resolution that I'm running at). Crossing my fingers at better driver support as time goes on.

Just received my EVGA GTX260 from Newegg yesterday. It replaces an 8800GTS 320MB that started to really go south on me. Lovely card so far
