7200 rpm hard drive is a must for any mid to high power laptop imo.

7200rpm drives are rather cheap, i got 320gb 7200rpm for my laptop for 49 bucks. brand new.

btw, that is quite impressive laptop 640gb laptop hdd, never seen one of those.

Bob, also remember that high density platters can beat higher rotation speeds.

Not quite as good. Screen is slightly smaller, and GPU isn't near as high end (9800M GS is a a nut hair slower than the desktop 9600GT). However, it includes a 7200RPM HDD, and it's about $1k less.

I'd rather wait until I get home to play than spend $3,000 on something that's going to suck batteries so fast that it's nearly useless unless I can plug it in somewhere.
