3.0 is a bit smoother for me but the visuals are nowhere near the bad performance imo. The pace is very slow so it works but i´m still gonna wait for the patch and see what it can do.

Cryostasis PhysX patch


Action Forms and 1C Company announced today that a special patch with additional support for NVIDIA PhysX technology is currently in development for the recently released first-person shooter, Cryostasis. This patch will ensure that all levels of the game feature the same degree of physics that are available in the technical demo created for NVIDIA and featured on the nZone Web site

Cryostasis has been launched in Europe this week, with PhysX implemented throughout the game. However, 1C has decided to add higher levels of PhysX to coincide with the US release by Aspyr in April. Available free of charge, this patch will add extra PhysX effects to the game that are accelerated in hardware when played on machines with compatible NVIDIA GeForce GPUs.

The patch will be made widely available on 1C and NVIDIA Web sites."

My game has a hardware physx option... I am assuming this is an enhancement to that, not the addition of it?

I guess I could try turning that off and putting DX10 back on and see what my fps is.

I'm not seeing that much difference between DX9 and DX10.....anyone else notice this ?

physx on in both.

I didn't see any difference when I switched and thus was happy with the doubled fps... I'll probably take a screenshot in both to make sure though.

The screenshots are not exactly at the same place, sorry about that. Settings: 1280x960, medium shadows, 8xAF, 0xAA, no motion blur and no object motion blur.

^^^ I don't see much difference..... Im gonna hold off playing for a couple for a couple of days.

NV usually releases a new driver when new games come out....maybe we'll get a patch and driver on the same day.

A dev from 1C had a live chat with EVGA last week....good read

Yeah I will play thru it again when the new patch comes out and the first thing I did was disable the damn blur, I hate it so the disable it in every game is the way to go and play happy ever there after

haha yepp motion blur is one of the worst thing in gaming and we can be glad we can disable crap like that, console owners cant they just have to take it all in
