I am trying to play through this game for the first time (yeah, I know, it's a little late), but I am having issues running the game. Running in SLI won't work b/c I get the ever-popular display driver has stopped responding issue a lot, so I run it non in SLI so that's not an issue. That's one problem resolved. The second problem has to do with the game just CTD'ing every so often. I have gone an hour or so playing before but sometimes the game will crash to desktop in 10 min increments. I have tried running in xp compatibility mode but the crashes still exist.
Now, I figured, let's try running this game as an administrator, that should work. Well when I run the game as an admin none of my saves are there anymore!! How the heck does this happen? It shouldn't make a difference but apparently it does. I also for the life of me cannot even find the savegame files so that I can fiddle with it to try to make them visible when I run the game as an admin. Anyone have any success that can maybe share some ideas with me? |

I think we had a topic about this not long ago. Works fine here, but I haven't played it extensively on Vista 64, just a little bit.
P.S. The saves are right in the main directory... folder is even called saves.

Mine has an autosave folder and a normal save folder, plus some text files.

I have none of that... I have the "Star Wars best of PC" version if that means anything different. But there are ZERO files in my /saves folder.

You didn't make the whole install file admin-needed, did you? That would prevent saves from being written.

It's working for me in Vista 64, but I haven't finished yet on this install. I'm about halfway through it. Make sure you get the latest patch.
