I upgraded to the 64 bit version tonight. Boot seems snappy. Gaming and everything else seems pretty much the same. My first impressions are good and it's too early for me to say anything else. We'll see.
BTW Tri-SLi works fine.

I saved it to my back up drive then extracted the ISO with WinRAR to an 8Gb OCZ usb flash drive (format NTFS) and upgraded over Vista HP x64 SP2. I set the USB drive as bootable like below. It upgraded without a hitch. No issues... yet.
http://img22.imageshack.us/my.php?im...x64bootfla.png I'm using the nVidia 185.81 driver. I'm using Mozilla Thunderbird for my email client.

I found direct links, but there is a trick to it. DO NOT click on the links. You HAVE to copy/paste into a download manager, the link will explain it.

It found all my hardware right off the bat, very nice.

I agree. I finally installed it on my rig, runs pretty nice. Vista ran just as good IMO.

Been using beta for a few months, installed RC tonight, seems pretty much the same.
Still a good OS though. A small checklist to remember windows updates DirectX runtime Turn down UAC or off Set your Power settings. Make sure to change the border padding of windows to 0 :P Turn off Swap file if you have 6+ gig Install windows essentials for some handy tools like msn Flash QT lite DivX Adobe reader Virtual clone drive Winrar Mirc Ventrillo Everest EVGAPrecision all of these work good on x64 ![]()
