No the GTX 280 is just as good as a GTX 275 because you have more memory ,the GTX 280 will use a little more power ,If you are useing a 24" monitor and gameing at 1920 x 1200 and useing FSAA and aniso the extra memory on the GTX 280 may come in handy.At stock clocks the GTX 275 is higher but the GTX 280 will useally overclock to 665/1458/2400 with no problems or at least the BFG GTX 280's I have will run at that speed with no problems.

No, the 280 uses much less than the 295. Even though 295 is 55nm, its still two GPUs in one with 1.8 GB of memory total. Perhaps if you run it in single core mode and disable SLI, it might use less, but then whats the point, get a GTX 275 then.

Also, a 450W PSU won't be able to power anything GTX 260 or above, if you consider the rest of your system. You'll even be pushing it with a 9800 GTX.

Aah okey, then I sugest you just get that 3D Vision kit as you will be so damn impressed I promise you and just hold on to the GT 300 as you said. do that insted of shelling out a lot of cash for a new card that you will replace when the 300 series comes out

If the games is to heavy in 3D just play those in 2D as the Samsung 2233RZ is without a doubt the fastest monitor you can get, gaming in 120Hz is a bliss and many peps who hated LCD's and clinging on to CRT's are taking the step over when they see this wonder. So you just go ahead and by that 3D Kit. you have never seen gaming as it should be mate, this is just to god to be true

As I mentioned, I also sold my PSU . Call me a profiteerer but I made some cash out of selling it .
