Hello together!
Sorry for asking that again, iam sure that iam not the first one but i can not find this type of question in the forum...Could somebody tell or explain me whats the difference between the opengl3.1 and the offcial/stable 180.51 driver? Or tell where i can read about the difference? Is opengl3.1 not included in the new offical stable driver 180.51? What would you install or wahts the best driver on a linux machine for playing ex. eve-online in combination with wine? my machine: ubuntu jaunty x64 Nvidia GT8600 thanking you in anticipation, Lightmans

aha, okay...
so which driver would be better or the best, for playing a game like eve-online in combination with wine? iam not sure, but eve uses shademodell 2 or 3 and can use directx10 on a windows machine.. i think its uses also opengl?! or not? ![]() so which driver should i install? thanking you in anticipation, lightmans

If you don't plan on doing OpenGL 3.1 development or using OpenGL 3.1 applications, then I would recommend using the current official driver.
