Default Re: ASUS MK241H LCD?

Heh, I wish I could try one out.

There isn't a decent electronics store within 100 miles of here. I was thinking of going on Wal-Mart.com and buying one just to see if the input lag was irritating, then return it locally... but they don't even sell any IPS or PVA panels.

Staples is the closest electronics store, and they don't sell anything. They have like 10 monitors on their website.

Even BestBuy has a terrible selection of monitors.

These new LG screens sound pretty good, but I don't think they're coming to the US:

EDIT: The Dell 2209WA seems like an awesome monitor (great picture and relatively low input lag) but the resolution just isn't what I'm looking for. I read a rumor that Dell will be releasing a 24" model this summer at around $400... which would work for me, as long as its 1920x1200. I just hope its true.

The Dell 2209WA is a e-IPS made by LG, I can't find the link but I remember reading it.

Yeah, that's what I've read as well.

I guess E-IPS is pretty much the same as S-IPS, its just cheaper to produce... which is very good for us.

If anyone hears any news about any new Dell or LG IPS screens being released in the US in the next couple months, please post here if you remember.

For anyone interested, the Dell 2408WFP (24" 1920x1200 PVA panel) is on sale for $431 and the Dell 2209WA (22" 1680x1050 IPS panel) is on sale for $206 with coupon codes and free shipping:

http://forums.slickdeals.net/showthread.php?t=1361583

That 22" is damned tempting for that price, but I'm still going to wait for an IPS 24".

Also, if the 2408 didn't have such terrible input lag I'd probably buy one for $431.
