Left 4 Dead 2 arriving november 17

I'm very disappointed in Valve. Seems like the once great Valve (some don't agree possibly) has now dropped down to another of the developers, no intention of supporting a game they promised to support. Instead they drive a nail through the community, through the modders who no doubt will be far less interested in completing maps and such for a game that's essentially obsolete come November.

I can easily afford to get it, I spent loads of hours in L4D and got more than my money's worth. It's the principle for me, it's the fact that Valve have underperformed with L4D. TF2 is still getting new content, at this stage I'll most likely be avoiding it, unless it magically comes in at a sub $20 price point at which time I may consider it but I'd still be very annoyed by the structuring of this sequel.

Neither l4d and l4d2 are developed by 'real' Valve, the team that works on l4d probably started working on l4d2 after they finished l4d.
Valve will probably work on ep3 and some other games.

The body and model damage look absolutely amazing. I had a blast playing the 1st one. I hope this one has more than 4 scenes though.

Valve bought the developers of L4D... They have everything to do with it
Valve decides the release date and what they do and when they do it.
The developers have zero to say anything about that

they may hate it too like all the players. But Valve only sees cash so they can feed Gabe. Its not cheap to feed that fat bastard

Too all those defending this game because it's an entirely new game or whatever ****ing excuse you wana make. If it were all new then why are they thinking about including the original content (not game) with the sequel?

On a similar note, Chet noted that they were discussing including the original four Left 4 Dead campaigns with Left 4 Dead 2. The thinking is that this would make things easier for consumers. After all, if you and your buddies are playing Left 4 Dead 2 and you all want to play a campaign from the original game, it's an incredibly annoying and disruptive hassle to have everyone quit Left 4 Dead 2 and start Left 4 Dead if you're on a PC, or swap out the Left 4 Dead 2 disc for the Left 4 Dead disc if you're on an Xbox 360. User feedback would probably help sway Valve, so make sure to let the company know what you think. And despite the fact that Left 4 Dead 2 is a reality, Chet said that the company isn't abandoning the first game and that it has plans to support it in the future with new updates, like four-versus-four matchmaking.

They are just rereleasing the ****ing game as a sequel and adding the DLC they promised the original owners as the content for the sequel. Current owners better get a discount on the PC, its a ****ing joke.

God, I just watched the gameplay videos on IGN and you cannot see a difference between the two games other then new maps, weapons and characters. I don't call releasing a mod a sequel...
