Default Broken Monitor, Bulbs or inverters or what?

I have a 19" Samsung but the backlight isn't working.

I think it has 4 bulbs as it has 2 inverters? so I'm thinking they cant all fail at the same time through old age or whatever,

What should I be looking at as a likely source of the problem? (assuming I can get into it to have a look see)

Default Re: Broken Monitor, Bulbs or inverters or what?

if just one was bad would the other still work though?

Generic CCFL inverters can be bought from ebay or found...elsewhere

The monitor has a built in PSU so could it be just a fuse in there somewhere?

Looks like I'll have to stick the panel in a cardboard box with a candle behind it instead.
