Windows 7 and Microsoft - Page 4

Win 7 feels faster and I've run Vista since the Vista beta's.

Just the fact that Win7 doesn't try to cache all of your ram is one of the biggest performance differences between the two. Sure, Vista gives it back, but at hard drive speed. Not a big deal with faster hard drives, but still it is a noticable performance hit compared to Win7, and also another reason Vista runs exponetially crappier, the older hardware you run it on.

I really had no problem with Vista after they worked the real bugs out and driver support came online, but Win7 is better, faster and just a step above. Still not sure how fast I'll be handing over my $$$ for Win7 though since again, newer hardware runs Vista just fine too.

If that best buy release was accurate, you may be able to pick up Windows 7 home prem upgrade for just $50.

Was playing COD4 last night without a problem. You need to download the pbsetup app and manually update it... but this is something everyone should have been doing themselves anyways.

Im sure if Linux wasn't free most of the users would have an illegal copy... seeing as they can't afford even decent PC Hardware with the allowance their mom gives them.

No wonder their isn't enough invention, people have to torrent their software.
Im glad i can call up MS for those 2 free calls on my stuff.
