Specifications announced. May need to upgrade my ram to 8 gig and get a quad but will wait and see how it runs first.

I am curious as to why the recommended specs are so high.
I haven't seen any videos or screenshots of the game that in any way suggests that it would be that demanding a game. Those specs are higher than Crysis!

Pathing and AI I would say... But then again the game might not have as much loading then Crysis. Then again NWN2 was also buggy and demanding at launch...

From what the developers have said DAO will have loading areas like baldur's gate, neverwinter nights, witcher, ect. Hopefully the load times won't be as long as the witcher when it launched.

![]() Seriously though, weird to see a PC game with a 20GB install that is also on a 8GB disc for consoles... the PC version must have a ton of extra stuff.

Well, that's what I was meaning...
GTA4 was 14GB on PC because of the higher res textures... the game is 7GB installed on the 360.

Maybe the 20gb install includes the toolset??
Also they already said on their forums no blue ray edition for the pc.
