Notes: I ran the low quality aniso tests, because its what I use in game. The difference in texture quality is worth it, IMO. Granted, 1280x1024 becomes unuseable with aniso. However, 1024x768 still looks great and plays very smooth.

I'll run a quick botmatch test to give an idea of performance in antalus with several bots.

9.745758 / 28.582321 / 45.880730 fps -- Score = 28.588898

As ugly as that may look that's actually quite decent.

Linewbie - read the UT2003 README.. You said you had a GF2 MX PCI vid card.. The Readme says basically don't bother trying unless you have an AGP card....

I'm running a GF4 MX 460 on a Dual P3 1GHz and it runs very nicely The Linux README says that having the sound running on the second CPU makes a big diff in performance - so I'm a happy camper

Default error massage when starting ut2003

I get a error when i try to start ut2003 for linux:

Xlib: extension "XiG-SUNDRY-NONSTANDARD" missing on display ":0.0".
OpenGL renderer relies on DXTC/S3TC support.

History:

Exiting due to error

ok, the readme. says i have to use the nvidia driver with a nvidia card, ut i've a TNT2 and i installed the newest nvidia driver (kernel and GLX)....

I'm using kernel 2.4 wth debian linux.
X 4
Duron 1,2GhZ 128megs SDRam
TNT2 16MB ram
ut2003 works fine in windows but i don't want to play this nice game on a so bad system....

Are you running UT2K3 in Windows with Direct3d or OpenGL?

I honestly don't know if the TNT2 has texture compression support in the drivers.

Once again - have a look in the README.. You need a GeForce 256 at least for UT2003 (or America's Army and probably for anything built on the Unreal Warfare engine)..

I just have no idea how it works in 'doze for you
