Default Microsoft offering $100 Technet discount till July 3

We've just received word that Microsoft has begun offering a discount on its Technet subscription. With Windows 7 coming out in October, this is a great time to sign up. Under this discount program, you can get a one year subscription for $249, a $100 discount below the normal price. While more expensive than most upgrade versions of Windows 7, it does offer users the full-versions of any SKU as well as many other Microsoft programs. Also, it is expected that these users will get Windows 7 before the general public in October.

Interested users can visit the following link and enter the promo code "TEYFY09" to get the discount. The offer is set to expire on July 3.

note: that you will probably be able to get Office 2010 as well.

I think I'll bite on this. Do you get Windows 7 when the RTM is built? Do you get MS office too?

You also get the latest version of MS-DOS and Windows 3.1

Although more expensive, with MSDN Subscriptions, you get almost every single M$ product excluding games.

Edit: Nekro was too fast...

Yah, but I get it through work (so technically for free, even though it is essentially my personal account)

The technet would have been my true personal account

technically yes (forever), legally only for a year, unless you extend the subscription.

Looks like 2008 and 2008 R2 along with Home Server. It's great for me as I can role out near identical PCs through the house and really take advantage of homegroups and media extenders. Not bad for something that costs less than 1 copy of 7 would.

Google promo codes and see what you can find. That's how I found the 40% discount code.
