Default CSync option

Is there any way to get composite sync on the hsync or even the vsync line? Xorg has an option called CSync and Composite for mode lines to provide composite sync. My Tv has both H and V sync in with the Hsync also able to use csync. but for some reason that is the only way it will sync right now. It doesn't seem to see v sync. I've checked the cable and both H and V sync are where they should be. I seem to have lost my service manual for my TV so can't track down why vsync isn't working atm. Until I can, Csync would solve the problem as it's been working that way for over a year using RGB out of a nexus-s tuner with a sync seperator connected to the composite video to get csync.
