Default Dual-Head card broken with 185.18.14

I had previously had Fedora 11 on my computer, and when I updated the nvidia driver through rpmfusion.org, it turned off the second monitor on my 8400 GS.

I then wiped out Fedora 11 and put on Debian Sid, and it also shows the same problem as soon as I enable the 185.18.14 nvidia driver.

Let me know if you need anything besides the bug report.

It's hard to go back to a single monitor after using two!

Both of my dual-head monitors go dark with 185.18.14 (64-bit) -- they are both configured as rotated.

Distro is some older incarnation of Mandriva 2008.1 cooker. pci-e 6600GT dual DVI. kernel 2.6.24.2

Reverted to the latest 180.* driver.

Same problem here using ArchLinux. I was fine when I had 180.51-1 and I upgraded to 185.18.14-1 and now only one monitor works on my 8400 GS--only the VGA output.

Problem is that I can't downgrade because my kernel was upgraded.

It is indeed very hard to be without a second monitor.

No fix for this yet?

Just to add my two pence:

I have an HP dc7900c with a Quadro NVS 290. Second monitor also fails on CentOS 5.3 (kernel 2.6.18-128.1.16.el5 #1 SMP). Downgrading driver to 180.60 works (second monitor comes up).

Cheers.

Please attach a log from 180.60 for comparison. According to the log file, both monitors are operating correctly, though your desktop environment is changing the screen resolutions after your session starts.
