I dislike the dual pistol auto aim and what's even worse is the huge target reticule only has to touch the target for a hit. The crosshairs do not have to be directly centre so aiming at distant targets is ridiculously easy. This is an easy game even on the difficult setting so gamepad assists are not needed. I was about to sell my copy before I found a mod that removes the target reticule from normal gun play (not the special attacks).

Now I use the iron sights for medium and ranged shots and blind fire for close range. This is so much more realistic and enjoyable and the game has gone from a 6 to a 9. I love the setting and level design in this game.

Yeah I know what u mean about the reticule and hitting the enemy. Still found my character dying a lot on hard though with large numbers of enemy so I didn't find the whole game easy. Also probably why the auto-aim didn't bother me that much was that I found myself using the rifle or the bow and arrow most of the game.

as much as i appreciate what the game is trying to do, every single multiplatform game carries with it this bad taste of consolitis for lack of a better word. its like a film vs a good blockbuster movie. the original in dx10 mode, with all the little gameplay tweaks seems like a better game apart from the gameplay elements that clearly needed to be removed. this is like 2 steps forward 1.5 back.

So we agree, this game is better since it is half a step ahead of the original. Glad we see eye to eye.

Just finished the game today, loved it. Once you get the hang of it and using the right weapons - similar to Far Cry 2- I found it to be amazing!!

I'm sure he meant 1 step forward 2 steps back. Which I can agree with.

2 steps forward (gameplay evolution) 1.5 back (gameplay simplification for console (and pc-mass market theory)pick up and play appeal, graphical step back or at best stagnation).

we don't see eye to eye because you aren't much of an observer. no one is arguing its not a good game. i'm personally finding it boring, but that's just my opinion. what i'm discussing is not an opinion.

p.s: 2-1.5 does not equal +.5 when your are discussion heterogeneous elements. go hunt an original stance

I decided to give this game another go and discovered that after the first 3 levels is when the game gets fun and gets better as time passes. The first 3 levels of the game was almost a game breaker for me.

How are you guys taking screenshots? FRAPS will not run for me, I mean it runs but not in this game. With W7 I often have to close and open FRAPS while the given game is running for it to activate, but it's not working with this one. Also print screen does not work as it captures my desktop.

Is there a developer's console using the ~ key?

Is there a screenshot command (ie the word screenshot)?

I don't have the game, but I usually do this with games that support it.
