As i was saying before, it's amazing what happens when you just change interface of Windows. People think is better, infact both systems use same amount of memory at least on my machine.

If you think windows 7 is just a changed interface then dont upgrade.

For high end system whatever they did in Windows 7 to optimise things it doesn't matter at all cause Vista already screams on such high end system. As I said memory usage under vista and windows 7 is same on my system. I think Windows 7 is for people with crappy computer cause apparently acts differenty then Vista. Those people in my opinion should not run Windows 7 nor Windows Vista at first place.

Windows 7 is alot better than Vista. Sorry but you just sound like a bitter Vista owner.

Windows 7 is a great OS and runs on "older" computers - all the PCs that Vista was too bloated for. I have it running on a 2.4Ghz 1GB ram laptop that Vista pretty much choked. I have Windows 7 running on a EeePC 900a Netbook that again, Vista choked. Just cause you feel Vista runs good on your machine doesn't mean Vista runs good. Trust me Windows 7 runs alot better, even on the overclocked quad with 8GB of ram (system in my sig).

The last comment you made was just stupid. So people with a PC that runs XP fine shouldn't be able to upgrade their OS?? Windows 7 will succeed where Vista failed for the simple fact that now millions of "crappy computer" owners will be able to purchase a new operating system. Its not just all about you.

I am saying people who bought their computers with XP installed in it should stay on XP, or buy new PC before going to Windows 7. If Windows 7 runs ok low end computer it doesn't mean that you can do a lot. Apps and Games are totally another story. I didn't say Windows 7 is bad. WIndows 7 is better then Vista, but people with high end systems wont see a big difference. However i still need to see how apps and games perform under Windows 7. That's a second part to this.

BILL VEGHTE: Good morning. How is everyone doing out there? (Applause.) All right. You watch that video, it's such an exciting time. It is such an exciting time. This morning we will release Windows 7 to manufacturing, and we write that next chapter, we go after that opportunity. And when you think about the story of Windows, and you think about that story, and you all have written that history. You think about Windows, and over the world you've got over a billion people, over a billion people, depending on what you do. More people speak the language of Windows than speak the English language. And that opportunity, and that value, that incredible simplicity, that broad a set of choices, that's what you've done.
there is a lot more to read at the link
