I've preordered the x64 Pro version, but I'm still working on RC wrinkles, so I hope they have them ironed out by the release date.

I'm on 32 bit, coming from XP Home. It actually helped solve some crashes I was getting in XP after overclocking. So far I love it, and all my programs are working great. It's a lot faster, or so it seems that way. Only program I haven't tried to install is the drivers for my Creative MP3 player, but I'm going to hope that the Vista edition will work with 7.

EDIT: Pretty awesome, Windows 7 recognized the mp3 player and installed minimal drivers for it, which is actually what i wanted because the bundled software was terrible. I love this OS, haha.

Upgrading my home machine from Windows Vista Ultimate (32-bit) to Windows 7 Home Premium (64-bit) sometime after launch, within the first month. My wife will be selling her old XP machine for a MAC.

Good to hear. Lemme know how it goes with the Creative Mp3. I myself own an 8GB Zen.

This format/reinstall will prolly keep me busy for most of the night.

Heh, just edited my post probably right before your reply. On my Zen Vision:M the software was decent, but with the Zen X-Fi i had to use Creative Centrale which i hated. I mostly used windows media player to sync music and videos anyways. The windows media player on 7 seems to organize and import songs a lot better, too.

vista does the same, creative software is not necessary.

Creative MP3 playes are PayForSure devices (http://www.microsoft.com/windows/win.../playsforsure/) no drivers are needed, all included in OS

Going from Vista Home Premium x64 to 7 Home Premium x64, got 7 RC installed and it works perfectly. Not using any of the Ultimate stuff so I will stick with Home Premium

The current Belkin drivers for my Wireless 'N' USB adapter won't install. I think I've found a way round it though. But TBH I'm a bit fed up with the rigmarole of installing betas every few weeks. I'm just gonna wait for the full release and bung it on the SSD.
