Default gnome-terminal fragments

Hello,

Im using a nVidia 9800GTX with 185.18.14 drivers. Ive tried a few versions below also.

I keep getting white blocks in gnome-terminal and sometimes other apps. If i move the window it shows the proper text. Will this be fixed anytime soon?

Also i am using Xorg 1.6.2 server+compiz & kernel 2.6.29

Thanks

Some kinds of screen update problems were fixed by activating compiz->workarounds->force sync between X and GLX.
Not sure that helps for your problem, but maybe worth checking.

Aaron posted about this; a search for (IIRC) "gnome-terminal race condition" explains it, and it shows up much worse at low-power PowerMiser settings, too.
