The Bat works very well in every Windows version that I have tried it in, and that is nearly all of them, including Windows 7.

If it works with exchange then it's ok, but if not then its not even worth loading up.

"Microsoft Exchange Connectivity
The Bat! connects to Microsoft Exchange Servers using native MAPI protocol to fetch or send the messages. You just have to install Microsoft Office Outlook or Microsoft Exchange Client to supply the Exchange connectivity components which The Bat! will be using."

Just began using Windows 7 exclusively and tried out Windows Live Mail.

It runs great, but why does Microsoft insist on using a non-configurable font for certain functions - like the list of emails?

The font is too small and it sure would be nice if you could change the default.

I recall seeing a registry hack that could force Windows to use the font of your choice. The only problem there is that if the font was larger than the standard, some of the text tends to get chopped off.

Hey guys. I'm getting ready to upgrade from Vista Ultimate to Win 7 Utlimate. I currently use winmail in vista (like it alot) and see here that winmail in win 7 does not work or is not there. So what's gonna happen to my mail settings, saved mail, etc?? Doing the upgrade saves all my current windows settings, but after reading this here I'm a little worried that I'll lose all my mail.

Help??

As Win7 doesn't have WinMail from the get go. I'd imagine you might lose your mail. Backup just to be safe, install Live Mail and import your old mail back in if required.

Is live mail a separate program you download from microsoft? I have microsoft office 2003 w/outlook already.......just don't like outlook that well. Winmail has worked well for me since I went to Vista last yr.
