try updating live manually

plus check/make sure there is nothing blocking game or live access to internet

Well i managed to fix it, I disabled everything in my task bar i.e xfire, logitech g-series key profiler, logitech lcd manager, logitech joystick profiler & disabled my anti virus, started the game and tried ... It worked fine, Updated & logged in fine.

Re-booted to restart my task bar programs and re-started and everything its fine.

It's a bit revealing that Microsoft would choose to use a 32 bit value for GFWL error codes.
If my math is correct, that means they hope to be able to represent 4,294,967,296 different errors for the service.

EDIT: I am being tongue-in-cheek, of course..
