The short answer is "yes, Technet subscribers can log on to Technet with their Windows Live ID."

The long answer is "Yes, *Technet subscribers* (ie. users who have purchased Technet access) can log on to Technet with their Windows Live ID."

Windows Live ID's are a "single sign-on" thing for Microsoft. It does not automatically grant you access to everything though. There are still pay services that require additional membership before your Windows Live ID will allow you access to those things.

ok, just installed win7 on my x58 board, weird ****, weird ****.

it installed a jmicron driver on my silicon image esata controller, keeps complaining that it doesn't work.

Just force it as jmicron off the ftp site like i did but vista doesn't have this issue but who cares as long as 7 works right.
