Official pain in the ass

Just out of curiosity...
When I tell my computer to go into Sleep mode, has anything changed in Win7? The reason I ask is because before, when I awoke my computer from Sleep mode, it went straight into the Login Screen. In Win7, it shows the Dell logo and it's loading bar, which it only used to show when it was first turned on. Has this always been the same way??

I thought so too, but I made sure all power options are set to put the computer in sleep mode once I press the power button.
Maybe it's an RC thing?

After some observation (and a night of drinking) I have come to an interesting conclusion.
The "Resuming Windows" thinger only shows up after the computer has been in sleep mode for a long time (say, a night). Other than that, waking up the computer takes me straight to the login screen. My hypothesis is that Win7 detects if the computer has been in standby mode for too long, and goes into hibernation. Can anyone confirm this?
