I also love the fact that they used the voices of the original Batman: Animated Series; Kevin Conroy and Mark Hamill...simply awesome

I'm not getting any slowdowns with physx on High, still nice and smooth.

Yeah this is one of the best games I've played in a while. It actually made me get Riddick Dark Athena for the stealth game.

To be exact, no GPU-accelerated PhysX on the consoles. All other versions still use PhysX for ingame physics on CPU.

Isnt physx kinda useless for cpu? thats why gpus do it since they are so much faster on this kind calculations ingame.

I cant answer how advanced physics the PhysX library can do on the CPU only. Need a developer to answer that. Especially how it compares to competitors like Havok in that aspect.

I think the point with PhysX is that as a whole it is a physics-library and development aid. Then there is the optional now GPU-accelerated bit that allows more heavy physics calculations and therefore effects. Also PhysX library is free for developers, at least to some extent.

I would like to see more of fluid based physics. Its done in some demos they have on NVidia site, but not seen it much in games that add GPU PhysX effects.

I get a BSOD everytime I am about to go through a door, shortly after talking to the guard that aways from being knocked out. I'm about to go through the door, just got off the phone with someone, and as the door is about to open, BSOD, it's happened twice. Using 185.85 drivers, going to try 190.38 drivers.

But, on a side note, this game is great!

Edit:
190.38 drivers fixed the BSOD it seems.

So running it here 1680x1050 with everything maxed. 4x AA.

During the first fight in the cell block.

PhysX off - pegged @ 60 FPS or 62 FPS with vsync off
PhysX Normal - was in the 50s most the time, felt choppy (even with vsync on) dips into the high 40s
PhysX High - was in the 40s most the time dips into the high 30s, felt choppy.

When I get some time I'm gonna pop in my 9600GT for dedicated PhysX and see what happens. After playing Mirror's Edge I pulled it out as there hasn't been a game with PhysX since then that I wanted to play. I'm using driver version 190.56, Windows 7 x64 RTM.

Double pressing the run button makes batman kinda front flip. I wish some of the effects were on off: I can't see why we cant have static fog and flags/rope hanging without movement. Also since nvidia disabled physx support for ati card with 186 drivers plus it really is making this game nvidia only. Sad thing dividing the market

This game has some neat cloth tearing effects with PhysX, also has anyone noticed that the sparks will bounce off of you realistically?
