I like the new WMP in Windows 7. But as a widescreen user that moved the taskbar to the left side, I noticed that when double clicking on movie files from Explorer the WMP window starts below the taskbar. It doesn't save the position so if I move the window, close it and try again it starts below the taskbar again.

don't have the taskbar on the left...
but if you must be weird you can try a program called "zmover" and it should do what you're wanting it to

Taskbar on the left is great if you have a widescreen.
It's just a minor and annoying issue. I still like both the new taskbar and WMP. Being able to download a Apple HD trailer (H264) from http://www.hd-trailers.net and play it directly in WMP was great. No need for Apple Quicktime software (not that I had it before either, but anyway). |

i have the same problem
just for me I moved the bar to top, and almost everytime WMP opens it opens behind the bar and can't get to the close/minimize buttons.

![]() My taskbar is also on the top. To close, just mouse over the WMP icon and then click the x and voila ![]() |
