When i try to watch QuadHD video sample with mplayer i get this fatal error:

Zarbis, I can play the file just fine now.
![]() Uses around 75% CPU and plays fine in WMP at 50fps. crisalide, QuadHD is not 20 years but today, as in 2010. Already TVs that support it, see http://www.tvlogicusa.com/product/lum/560.php

my monitor can natively display 2160p video which is why I wanted to see a sample running at the full resolution.
The h264 samples I have only run at 3-4 FPS (max out one core).

These are hardware limitations. Wait for nextgen hardware, i.e. Fermi+1.
