CoD4 was a fine fine game. Especially the sniper missions, those are grand. And the awesome catchy OST that perfectly blends in w/ the situation....the composer did a phenomenal job. As I read MW2 got underwater as well as ice missions, so that's a nice little twist to the settings there.

I cant wait for MW2, even though its probably going to be the same thing.

And the single player was awesome! The first level was intense, so much action and little things unexpected, especially the nuke going off! Holy s***!

Yeah MW1 had some fine, memorable moments. I remember the first time i played through the sniper level, it was so awesome. After i finished the campaign, the game left a big impression on me and it was just refreshing.

just gives piraters more of a reason to pirate.

PC games should be $29 to $39 tops. IF they priced NEW PC games at this, people would be more inclined to buy them.

Me personally. I'm at the point now where I don't buy ANY PC game unless its on the Steam Clearance rack.

That's you.

10 million people thought Modern Warfare was worth $50-60... I don't think they're going to lower the price because you like games to be cheaper.

Thank you for pointing that out - we should in fact be a bit thankful for piracy because it has kept the cost of games pretty low these last years. When now activision know they have a great game that people buy because of its multiplayer mode they have no reason to fear it and thus can crank the price as high as they want and still have people buy it.

Your other paragraph also points out some major flawed ideas some publishers have that are direct opposites of what logic and theory tells you. Some games out there are selling for much less than they are worth while others are doing the exact opposite of that, so my suggestion would be that they should send the game to reviewers first and then price the game according to their judgement.
Some games just do badly because of their high price-tag, so by giving a bad game a lower price tag publishers might just spur people to try it out which then in turn leads to an increase in sales.

I'd pay $100 if it had 100 hours of SP gameplay. But I'm betting it has less than 6hrs.

Varied pricing is something we need more of for sure. I don't really have a problem with paying $60 for Modern Warfare 2, it's honestly worth that, but I am worried this will set a precedent for all PC games, and suddenly they will all be $60 like they are on consoles.

The idea that a 4 hour game like Wanted and a 200 hour game like Fallout 3 are the same price is just ridiculous. Make it $60 and it's even more stupid. Games like Wanted should come out at $20 or so... they would be worth that price, sell more copies on impulse buying factors alone, and would make a tidy profit.
