Default Garbage when Switching VTY's from X

Hi,

Any idea why do I get a full screen of garbage every time I switch from XFree86 to a VTY ?

When I say garbage, I mean that the screen seems to be an unmagnified screen, and if I type something I can see the output in character size very reduced (hope someone understand 'my' english).

I'm using Linux kernel 2.4.23-pre4 + Nvidia GeForce 4 MX 440 64MB, with the option 'NvAGP 1' + latest nvidia drivers.

Thanks for any suggestion.
