Smile NVIDIA 185.18.36

Release Date: 2009.08.21

Release Highlights:

* Fixed a bug that caused kernel panics when starting X on some mobile GPUs.
* Fixed an interaction problem between VDPAU and PowerMizer when using VDPAU solely as a display mechanism, and not to decode video streams. The GPU performance level should now be raised, if required, in this scenario.
* Fixed VDPAU to avoid "display preemption" in some cases where a VdpOutputSurface is deleted while it is still active (either queued or visible) in a VdpPresentationQueue. In particular, this can occur in MPlayer when using the "-fs" option, and could completely prevent VDPAU from operating successfully, depending on the exact timing conditions.

Sorry, I don't understand quite what you're asking? For any branch that's still under active maintenance, we typically fix bugs found in any component, VDPAU included.

Yes, all the changes you listed are also included in 190.25.

The way our changelog works can be a little confusing; we fixed those issue in 185.*, so they went into the changelog there. When copying the changelog edits to newer driver releases, those entries stay in the 185.* section they were originally placed into. We don't duplicate them into the relevant 190.* section too.

I think it's better to duplicate them into the relevant 190.* changelog section
is it possible ?
