Yeah not so happy with Gaming in Windows 7 64 bit. It seems as though SLI is going to have to go through the same teething problems as before. The new OS and drivers introduce studdering which was finally fixed in the last 8 months of drivers for Vista and XP.
Stinks because I'm waiting to go back to a single card GT300 hits the streets. Until then my precious IL2 1946 is a studder fest. |

Works fine for me (Win7 Ultimate X64) but Quake Live is the only multiplayer game I play atm.It definately uses PB tho as I see people being kicked by it just about everytime I play.

Switched to Win7 64 bit for my primary OS from Vista 64 last night. Can definately say there was an improvement in colours when playing games...weired i know, max FPS in CoD4, Crysis and Resident Evil 5 seems around the same as vista, however the average FPS is slightly more in Win7 and it doesnt seem to drop as much.
For some reason i can't seem to change my display to 60hz from 59hz in the nvidia control panel or the display options in win7, im not sure if that is having some kind of affect in games (most of my games are set to 60hz). Anyway so far so good, im loving gaming on Win7. ![]() |

What will be interesting is to see just how well Win XP mode will work once it matures... Looks like you can just throw in some new Ram and you're off to the races.

you do realize that xp mode will not help in games? it has no hardware 3d acceleration so best it might due is run some games in software mode.

Didn't know that... Hmmm Guess I'm just going to have to switch to a single card and get rid of the SLI issue altogether.

Ya, but it's still a pain.
I'd rather wait and get a newer card that can outdo 2 older ones. Even if you do use it, it doesn't come close to doubling performance as it advertises. |
