Default slackware 9.1 and xf86config-4

Ive been a user of mandrake linux for some time now, and ive always had good luck with it. Just recently I decided to install Slackware 9.1 to see if its as good as people say it is. When I went to install my Nvidia drivers I discovered that there is no XF86config-4 file, just the normal xf86config file. I dont know if this is normal for slackware or not, but either way I have no idea how to configure my drivers without this file. ive tried messing around with the normal xf86config file, but nothing seems to work. I was hoping someone could help me out to know either how to configure my driver using the xf86config file or how to get the xf86config-4 file back, or if there is anything else I need to do.

Thanks in advance.

They're the same file. X11 version 4 and above just look for the XF86Config-4 file first, and then at XF86Config. You've got some other problem if /etc/X11/XF86Config doesn't change any settings. It may be changing it and you aren't reading the problem correctly.

Alright, its working fine now. My "module" section of xf86config got screwed up somewhere along the way, so after some tweeking it works perfectly now.

Thanks for the help.
