Actually seems a bit closer than I thought it was. They just mentioned the name of the movie theater and I was looking at the wrong one. It's going to be 46.6 miles round trip (23.3 miles there 23.3 miles back) but that is pure freeway driving, so not a long trip, about 60 minutes round trip as per my second guess.
Not exactly next door but I've driven further distances for more trivial sh*t. Maybe like 3 gallons of gas at the most, and even that is a very liberal estimation. $7.50 and 3 hours worth of time for something that will sell for $200, not a bad deal. |

You should have someone else go with you, and then send me their copy.

Hey NekroSoft props to you for the headsup on this event.
I attended the FL event yesterday it was pretty intersteting the only bummer is the free Win7 Ultimate that was handed out was only the 32bit version. Not complaining its a freebie althought I took a day out of work to attend, just thought it was kind of chessy on Micro$oft end not to give out 64bit versions it isnt like they lose anymore by giving away 64 bit copies. Thanks again.

I attended in Minneapolis and it was the samel I was a bit disappointed with them only including the 32bit media/DVD. The Key is retail and valid for Both/Either 32 or 64bit so you have the license and just need to get a copy of the 64bit media. |

Just got back from the Phoenix one. All in all was pretty worth the 40 mile drive (round trip of course, 20mi each way) got some free breakfast and a free copy of win 7 ultimate (was expecting pro.) Got even more than I bargained for I guess
Not bad for 3 hours and $7 in gas.Sadly like everybody else though, only the 32-bit disc was included. So that said, does anybody know the md5sum or sha1sum of the RTM 64-bit disc? I have a feeling MS has posted it to one of their technet forums. EDIT: Quick search yielded this sha1sum for the 64-bit ultimate disc: 326327cc2ff9f05379f5058c41be6bc5e004baa7 Can any of our resident MSDN technet subscribers confirm that? I've already started downloading a torrent based on that but will wait til confirmation before using it. |
