Where is the fun in watching the entire buildings collapsing with 18-20fps? I hoped that we would be watching the destruction with a good framerate given the power of our systems. Oh well...

I just checked again. A pretty solid 60 when running around or driving. It does drop to the 30s with allot going on but I just drove a truck through a giant building and the lowest I saw was 26fps @ 2048x1536 2xAA and 16af.
On your same setting, 1680x1050, 4xaa, 8af, I actually get over 60fps most of the time and no lower than 30 with major destruction going on. I'm not just running at the mouth thats why I was wondering why people with 280s would go to dx9 when the performance is so good. I did just finish with a new clean install of Vista 64 and I also have a Raid 0 setup and some major cooling on the GPU. I don't really know why. Maybe my systems drivers are more mature, what chipset are you running?. ![]()
