I'm running with two GTX 260's in SLi. Seems safe to say this spans mobile, desktop, old and new cards.

This still happens with no appreciable changes in 190.25. New bug report attached.

And original topic updated.

In summary, we have:

Code:
            Standard SLI Quadro Mobile
7000
8000 x x
9000
200 X X xn x
(I may have put the quadros in the wrong family.)

x's indicate cards that had the issue with 190.18. n's indicate cards that didn't have the issue. X's indicate cards that had the issue with 190.18/.25/.32.

Is there anyone else who has a card that doesn't have this issue? If so, what are your xorg.conf settings for the video adapter? For people who are having this issue: Has it persisted with 190.25/.32? What settings are you using in xorg.conf?

It may be a lot to ask, but, nvidia peoples: Is this issue reproducible? Is it being worked on? Is more information needed?

Whew! I thought it was just me. Aaron keeps announcing all these 190.* drivers, and I try them, then I do something and it just freezes up. I go back to 185.* (currently running 185.18.36) and all is well.

I finally launched a report, see attached. 8600M GS 512MB.

kcrudup: Woo, thank you for X config!

The intersection of our xorg.conf settings are:
UseEvents
TripleBuffer
NoLogo
Coolbits
OnDemandVBlankInterrupts

NoLogo and Coolbits are pretty easy to rule out. After some testing I've found that disabling UseEvents fixes the issue for me. Does this work for you too?

Give me a couple of days to try it, but "UseEvents" certainly sounds like a good reason for the freezups. Let's hope now that NVidia can figure this out and fix it.

Tested on 8800 gtx and 8600 GT with 190.32, same bug, wich can be fixed by removing UseEvent
from the xorg.conf.

Thanks for the tips !

8600GT + 190.25 driver : disabling UseEvents works around the issue for me as well.

Thanks for the trick,

I have these freezes too, at least with 190.32 and 190.18 drivers.
Freezes occurs with compiz, and when starting full screen video.

Disabling UseEvents helped in my case as well.
