Hi.
I intend to buy gtx 275. But I doubt, Is my mobo and prosessor enought good for this card. Asus A8N32-SLI Deluxe ( http://techreport.com/articles.x/9053/1 ) and AMD FX-55 (90nm) prosessor. What kind of hardware you recommered for this card. What kind of nVidia card is best for those hardware. (A8N32-SLI and FX-55) Cheers: -arska- |

What res do you game at? I probably wouldnt get anything more powerful than a GTS250 or radeon 4830/4770/4850... but the 260 is pretty darn cheap for what you get. If you're gonna upgrade the rest of your rig somewhat soon then go for a 260.

i would like to use SoftTH Triplehead with rfactor. Now I use GF7900GTO with GF9400GT and I can't get higer resolution than 4096. Now I use 3072X768 with 60-80 FPS. This resolution is enought for me, but I must to use lower detail without shadow-effect.
My brother bought Ati HD4890 and its awesome card. I think that GTX275 is similar card. Thank you for informations. cheers: .arska. |

1. For that card, I'd recommend at least a decent late-gen dual core cpu (socket 775) in the range of an E8400 and up along with an adequate mobo that will let you overclock a bit (like the Gigabyte GA-UD3R P45 or something similar). 2. For that hardware, even a 9800GT/GTS250 would keep the load on your cpu.

I'd go for the 275 since it will be a bit more 'future-proof'. I have a 275 and it's a damn fine card but I'm also running a quad core. But in all honesty I think if you were to compare both cards side by side with your system the 275 would still show a nice improvement over the 260.

You can find these cars on sale quite often nowadays:
Radeon 4870 Radeon 4890 GTX 260 (also Core 216 version) I'd say go with whichever of those you can find at a good deal IMHO.
