Default Can only start X ~20% of the time due to WAIT

Running FreeBSD 8.0-BETA4 and I get this in my Xorg.0.log when starting X:

(WW) NVIDIA(0): WAIT (0, 7, 0x8000, 0x0000f6e0, 0x0000f6e0)
(WW) NVIDIA(0): WAIT (0, 7, 0x8000, 0x0000f704, 0x0000f704)
(WW) NVIDIA(0): WAIT (0, 7, 0x8000, 0x0000f728, 0x0000f728)
(WW) NVIDIA(0): WAIT (0, 7, 0x8000, 0x0000f74c, 0x0000f74c)
While this is happening, the screen(s) are black. At some point, I may get the nvidia splash screen. I cannot switch to any VT while this is going on, either. I have to ssh in and kill -9 the X process. At some (seemingly random) point, X will start and work.

I *think* this started when i upgraded to BETA4, but I'm not sure. The only results I can find in Google for this type of problem are about 2-3 years old, so that's not much help.

Any ideas? Thanks.
