I just like the ability to shoot things with more than a pea-shooter. I'll take a rocket launched into a flammable barrel any day!!

Weapons need to feel meaty- screw all this laser crap - I want to feel the kick!

Still haven't picked up this game. How is performance on an i7 with a decent card nowadays?

I can't remember which game it was but some game had a sniper rifle that had bar none the most satisfying BLAM and kick of any game period... it may have been one of the soldier of fortune games.

The vision needs to blur a hair on some of the bigger guns

coming from an overclocked E8400 and 8800 ultra to the I7 and 275, I went from running crysis at 1280X1060 with no aa to 1600X1200 w/2xAA and a more detailed draw distance and what not config in Crysis.

Farcry 2 at max settings @ 1600 res is usually pegged at 60 fps and dips down to the mid to low 50's when there's a lot of stuff going on.

its ****ing cool I like it in stalker just get a good weapon but I think it sucks in farcry2

its not AS bad in STALKER as it is in FC2, but I really did not explore much to get the better weapons in STALKER.

just install windows 7 and run it in DX10 mode if you want the absolute best visuals. The dx10 hack for xp really doesn't cut it.
