Game has AA natively, why would you force it?

I just want to try higher AA at a lower resolution or see how other modes run. 2048x1536 8xAA is playable but I would like to try 1600x1200 @ 16xAA or tryout some SS or combined modes.

No problem for me. Ingame it says 2xAA but I used the "Enhance" option in nHancer and set it to 8xS and it looks significantly better.
Well, I've played a bit of this after having a very bad PC experience (let's just say I don't think that SSDs are ready for prime-time and I lost a week's worth of data - not much that was important, but I now have to replay a significant amount of Batman to get back to where I was ) I finally got this installed and here are my thoughts:Firstly, while it seems fun I just don't find it quite as fun as GRID. GRID I was always anticipating the next race, having a blast and loving every minute of it. SHIFT seems more serious... that's the word. GRID is laid back, SHIFT is serious. Secondly, and this is my own problem, the ****pit in this game is great, but I sure have more fun riding the hood of my car than sitting in the driver's seat I'll try ****pit again, but hood cam is so much faster feeling.Thirdly, the racing line was nice for a bit, but I found I was just following this line around instead of racing. Anyone else get that? I turned the line off and don't seem to be having any problems. New tracks are a bit trickier as I can't get all my info from the road, but I still seem to be getting good points for riding the right line on the track. Anyway, good game overall... obviously have some regrets as it was the D2D download that killed my SSD, but I'm sure I'll get over it ![]()

The funny thing is that I have two, one is an OCZ Solid that uses the less-than-stellar JMicron controller and it's been fine. However I've witnessed two 250Gig Indilinx controllers go tits-up (An OCZ and a Corsair).

This game looks soooo good on the pc compared to the ps3. i originally bought it on the ps3 thinking my pc wouldnt handle it very well but then i tried the demo and well my pc handles it not too badly as it goes. im getting between 30-40 fps which is ok i guess.
Just one thing though, theres an odd jerking/skipping if i crash into a car on the pc demo which doesnt happen on the ps3. is it like this in the full game or is the demo missing some physics or something?

I don't know what it is - it's definitely fun, but there's something so bland about the racing that I just can't put my finger on.
I somewhat regret my purchase as I do think reinstalling GRID would have given me more enjoyment... plus the custom livery seems far too complicated to deal with However, racing the cars is fun and I did turn the best line back on. It seems cheap, but useful.
