If all EA's titles were to become exclusives, microsoft certainly wouldn't loose money on it; they'd probably sell twice the amount of consoles and force sony out of the competition completely(because who would buy a console with almost no games compared to a system with hundreds?).

This is just unnecessary speculation though as it isn't true.

It wouldn't be about making profit (the money made from gaming is nothing to a firm that has it's software in 90 percent of the worlds computers), it'd be about knocking SCE out with a single killing blow.
