Yea kay's post sums it up. They didn't really remove the quick launch tbh. If you "pin" an application to the task bar, then it is essentially a quick launch and the icon stays there and can be launched if you click it.

You get something better instead. There's now a little icon pinned to the taskbar you can right click, and it gives you instant access to your favorite folders. Among them being your downloads folder, documents, pictures, music, and you can add your own, including those drive letters. In the end you get the same function but just involves one additional click, but on the plus side there's less clutter. If you want you can add individual icons for those but I wouldn't just for the sake of cleanliness.

No it's just given your previous posts, and you know it. Like I said, it isn't even out yet.

Anyone here running Windows 7 on a SSD? Is it really that much faster than a standard hard drive? Just wondering because I'm thinking of getting a SSD for it.

Given that HDMI is a digital output and therefore going to be entirely separate from normal speaker output, I'd imagine there's a driver setting somewhere where you have to swap between the two, much as you'd swap between speakers and s/pdif.

I've been real shocked with Windows 7 and how good it actually is. zoomy asks me all the time why I've given up on Linux, and I tell him that Windows 7 is actually that good. I have ran into 0 problems so far, and this is running Windows 7 since Beta. Great job MS! You guys actually did something right for a change!
