2nd 360 here. My first died after I kept opening it and closing it to modify the skin a bunch. I also bent and stretched the motherboard beyond repair.
My 2nd one is going strong. I bought one of the newer GPU heatsinks and x-clamp fixed both CPU and GPU and applied arctic silver grease just as I got it. It hasn't given me any problems since.

It's quite shocking. Out of a very small survey here, most people are on at least no. 2. Compare that with any console that sold well, I guess props to MS for seeing a fault, extending the warranty and taking care of us. Perhaps next time they'll worry more about build quality and less about interchangeable face plates and detachable hard drives.

im still on my launch console made in oct 2005... i got the RROD twice and ive fixed it both times myself
