Default Running 2 Instances of Game on 2 Video Cards?

Is it possible to run Left 4 Dead (or any other 3D FPS) on two different monitors? I could split one video card for each session but is that even possible? Anyone here pulled it off already? TIA

Um don't think it is, especially L4D since you can only have Steam running once...

I saw some hack for running split screen for L4D on PC a long time ago but can't find it now.

Well darn, that'd be perfect if I could run each instance on 2 separate monitors
