/usr/src/linux-2.6.31.1/arch/x86/configs/i386_defconfig:CONFIG_LOCKDEP_SUPPORT=y

Please note CONFIG_LOCKDEP is not set in the defconfigs, only CONFIG_LOCKDEP_SUPPORT which does not cause any problems with the compilation. This is a vanilla upstream kernel (not gentoo-sources which has a distro patchset applied). So if CONFIG_LOCKDEP is set in Fedora rawhide that is a choice by Fedora devs.

Once again: F12 is in alpha state, that's why all necessary debug and restriction options are setted up. You've got 2 ways:
1. Recompile the kernel - see my prev. post of how to do this
2. Wait untill beta/stable release.

If you are using Alpha version - this means that you have some understanding of what you acctually have. I've recompile the kernel without debug options and 190.36 works fine.
The reason of why did 185 version compiled may be inside nvidia blob in kernel driver, but you should also understand that 2.6.31 is not the same as 2.6.30(29.....1) and some kernel mechanisms may be changed - that's why NVidia developers insert necessary changes and "broken" driver....

Driver is working and the only thing you need is to recompile kernel (just get SRPM and use my instruction) or just wait until beta release.

Think over a little - what is default kernel config???? And after that you will understand all the situation.
