Haha, I've had Win7 for months now so this isn't big news to me.
![]() But on the other hand, I've been real impressed with 7. It's brought my faith in MS back up to an acceptable level. Now if only some 3rd party apps would just get on the ball on upgrading their apps. ![]() |

Well come on, it's not hard to beat Vista and WIndows 7 is just Vista put right.
I don't think Microsoft could have gotten it wrong after Vista, if they knew what's good for them. My view is, it's a good OS for a Windows OS but that's as far as it goes. |

...That's what they said after Windows ME.
Actually, if I had to choose between Vista and Win 7 at this point, I'd take Vista. Thankfully XP still works great. 7 has some very annoying bugs and features removed, like: Remembering windows size/position. It puts all windows in the place of the last one closed. Tried WindowManager but it remembers some windows at like 1/4 mile off screen somewhere, then you can't get to them at all. The "stuck at 59 hertz" bug makes it unusable for me. Got to have it show 60 or it breaks apps. At least twice a day it boots up with no desktop icons at all and you have to go turn them back on. WTF?!? Maybe in a few months after service pack 1.... |

Installed 7 HP x64 last night only to find out Belkin STILL haven't brought out drivers for my wireless-N USB adapter
. Slackers!Otherwise very happy. The only other problem was there was several long pauses during the install which doubled the install time. It just sat there for about 2-3 mins, several times with nothing happening exept the HD light flashing about once a second. Kinda annoying, but it got there in the end. Oh, and for some strange reason in put the boot files on my storage drive, which I also sorted. But I would recommend unpluging all but your main drive for the install. |

I saw an "I'm a Mac, I'm a PC" commercial the other night already trying to start some FUD regarding 7. Too bad they don't have idiotic reviewers going along with them this time and people are putting up good reviews of Windows 7.
Windows 7 will take a giant dump on OSX's chest. The performance/features of Windows 7 blow away OSX imo. |
